Challenge yourself to raise money for veterans' kids

Over 100 years ago, on a battlefield in Europe one digger made a promise to a dying mate to ‘take care of his family’. This became the Legacy promise, a promise that is still kept today.

Legacy supports the partners and children of the servicemen and women who’ve given their lives, or their health, for our country. When a veteran’s family face times of grief or hardship, Legacy is there to support them. Legacy supports these families with any type of help they need – emotional, practical or financial.

For 11 days in November get forces fit to raise money so veterans’ families get the support they depend on.

“I am so grateful for Legacy. They made me feel safe and less alone. I could talk about my feelings and not feel judged.”

Mia’s dad gave a lot in service to our nation. For almost 10 years, he served in the Australian Army’s 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, including on the frontline in East Timor.

Tragically, when Mia was six, her beloved father took his life.

Legacy has been part of Mia’s life since she lost her father. And for that, she is incredibly grateful.
