I’m taking on The Legacy Challenge to support our veterans’ families
It’s really important to me to give back to the partners and children whose loved ones have made the greatest sacrifice for our country. That’s why I’ve got my boots on the ground, and I’ve committed to The Legacy Challenge for 11 days straight in November.
I'm raising vital funds to help Legacy families in need.
My Challenge finishes on Remembrance Day, the 11th of November, when we get to honour those who died to protect our nation.
Please donate today! I hope I can count on your support!
And I’d love it if you’d join me in doing The Legacy Challenge and helping me spread the word about the good work Legacy does for our veterans’ families.
Thank you in advance for donating to my Challenge - it means a lot.

Why I’m Taking on The Legacy Challenges in 2025
Tuesday 23rd SepFor me, The Legacy challenges aren’t just another fundraiser or fitness goal—they are deeply personal. Legacy has always stood for honouring the sacrifice of veterans and supporting their families, and in 2025 I feel more driven than ever to step up and carry that torch.
A Family That Lives and Breathes Military Life
My family has always lived within the heartbeat of service. Military commitment runs through our bloodlines—we don’t just talk about it, we live and breathe it every single day. It’s the backdrop of our family stories, our traditions, and our values.
When I lost my 19-year-old cousin while he was serving in the American Army, that sacrifice became more than a headline—it was personal. It was a reminder that behind every uniform there’s a family carrying both pride and heartache.
Connection Through Service and Community
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving with the Redbank Plains RSL Sub-Branch, helping to organise and support events that bring our community together. I’ve also attended Legacy balls across the years, each time feeling that strong sense of connection, remembrance, and duty to those who’ve given so much.
These experiences have shaped who I am and why I want to continue standing shoulder to shoulder with veterans, their families, and our wider community.
Why The Legacy Challenges Matter to Me
Legacy doesn’t just support those left behind—it helps carry forward the values of resilience, courage, and community. By taking on The Legacy challenges in 2025, I want to:
Honour my cousin’s memory and the service of my entire family.
Give back to an organisation that has long supported the families of our fallen and injured.
Show that no sacrifice is forgotten, and no family should ever feel alone in their grief.
Carrying Their Legacy Forward
For me, these challenges aren’t about personal recognition—they’re about raising awareness, building community, and honouring those who gave all. Each step, each kilometre, each challenge completed will be done with my cousin in mind, with my family’s history on my shoulders, and with the knowledge that Legacy is still standing beside the families of our service men and women.
Because at the end of the day, their legacy is our responsibility to carry forward. And in 2025, I’ll be doing exactly that.
